Model 1

I am finally posting my first architectural themed post. Yay! I recently downloaded the Google Sketchup software as I have always wanted to design 3D images of buildings. I never actually realised that Google had the software (What doesn't google have?!) so I was really excited about downloading it and finding out what I could do. It took me a while to get my head around the different tools but what was so good about it was that it had an instructor window which demonstrated what every tool I selected did, which was very useful. At the moment I'm trying to discover what type of houses I most prefer - although I like to but my own twists to my designs I have found that my designs tend to be quiet modernist and minimalist (I will post about my favourite buidings very soon). I will also at some point in the future hopefully in the summer make a start on designing a house, modelling it like the blogger Fashitects did which I loved. Perhaps I'll turn it into my summer project, going around London, doing reserch and collating all my ideas into a large book and eventually coming up with a final design - Just like I did with my Art GCSE. I'll make a 3D model on the Sketchup software and make a model out of card etc. This should give me something to work towards. I am excited! So here's what I came up with on my first attempt, hopefully with time I'll become really great at it. I've given the rather unimaginative name of Model 1:

Being Bigger & Better



Heya.

 I'm Olola and this is my blog.

I'm a born and bred Londoner and I am currently at uni studying Economics and Politics. It's interesting. But I do have a thing for property and would love to own my own property developing company at some point in the future. 

I want to use this as a creative space; it's a place where I can discover and express myself through the means of Art, Music, Literature, Fashion and whatever I find interesting. Hopefully by the end of the year and the year after that, and so forth, this blog will develop into a space that I can look back on and be proud of and also one that anyone who stumbles across it will find interesting.

I love Architecture, Music, and London. There'll be random posts of whatever I find interesting such as Quotes, Images I find inspiring and funnily enough some of my Baking exploits. I'll also share my poetry which I'll hope to post at least once a month and songs that I discover.

Part of my self-discovery journey is about me growing as a person and into a person that I am happy with. There will be Fashion posts on here of clothing that I find inspiring as I am trying to discover 'my style'. Once I start developing my style I'll begin to post pictures up. I've also been thinking of giving photography a go - hopefully the pictures come out okay.

I am a well-known rambler, so I'll try not to live up to this trait. I just wanted to explain the reason I gave this blog the title 'Being Bigger & Better'. It has been my moto for a while now and it embodies my aim in life. Bigger in the sense of dreaming big, wanting to achieve and believing in experience being the main form of development and Better in the sense that improving for oneself is of utmost importance and never settling for what you are not absolutley content with. 

I want to be Bigger & Better not for the world but for me.
